As the Tamil Hunger Strike reaches day 14 and over 1,100 Tamils are massacred in a single day in Sri Lanka by the Sri Lankan military, thousands of Tamils gather in London to step up the pressure on the British government by blockading the British Parliament building as MPs return from their Easter break. The operation in Sri Lanka has now caused horrendous loss of life and has now led to an exodus movement of civilians toward the west of the country and away from fighting. However, many Tamil civilians remain in peril as they are unable to escape. In London, Mr Subramaniyan continues with his hunger strike and has now been without food for 14 days.
