Editorial Photography, Protest.
Protest photography these days is particularly relevant. Since 1999, the UK has witnessed an explosion of collective groups taking matters into their own hands. From Anti-globalisation and Anti-capitalism through to the protests against the US invoked, and British complicit, 'Squalid War' in Iraq. The idealism and momentum of protest has never been more pertinent. This last decade has seen some of the largest and most consistent protests ever to take place in the United Kingdom. The following set is an example of editorial protest photography and images taken over the past 10 years in the United Kingdom.
